ITAFARI FOUNDATION

In June of '05, professional speaker and executive coach Victoria Trabosh joined a World Vision team on a trip to Rwanda. The experience changed Trabosh on a cellular level, and inspired her to change the course of the future for this troubled nation.

Within a few short weeks of her return, Vicky had engaged "Hotel Rwanda" screenwriter Keir Pearson and a handful local celebrities for a groundbreaking event held at the Oregon Forestry Center celebrating the Women of Rwanda.

Two local women in attendance, moved by the stories of courage and fortitude, decided to take action. it became their goal to raise $50,000 to help the women and children of Rwanda put their country back together and grow a brighter future.

They organized a wonderful little wine and cheese party, inviting 20 to 30 other women from their neighborhood. at the end of a beautiful fall night, they had raised over $7,000 and inspired 13 other women to host similar events. in the subsequent weeks and months, dozens of small dinner parties, pot lucks, cocktail parties, tea parties, poker parties and more, have contributed thousands of dollars to this amazing cause.

To support this groundswell of passion and conviction, Vicky put together a board of directors from amongst her who's who list of friends, clients and business associates, and itafari was born.
alcheme is fortunate to be a part of this incredible organization. from logo design to event support, we're proud to be creating every piece of communication for the Itafari Foundation.
