STANFORD HEALTH LIBRARY
Nora Cain at the Stanford Health Library wanted help
creating a vehicle for promoting a lecture series on campus. As
part of her funding requirements, she needed a quick and easy way to
disseminate the content of the lectures and make them available to the
public. The best way to do this was through an eNewsletter, but
she was apprehensive about both building the new infrastructure AND
making sure the process was easy to manage.
We called on eROI, eNewsletter specialists (and local
heroes of ours) to help us assess Nora's situation and come up with the
best solution. Leveraging web 2.0 technologies, we created an
RSS-enabled blog for capturing her lecture articles and downloads.
Then we applied eROI's RSS feed capabilities to dynamically pull new
content from the blog and drop it into a specially-designed email
template.
We also helped Nora make some adjustment to her main
website. Work included an integrated signup form that feeds directly
into the mailing list at eROI, turning list management into an entirely
hands-free operation.
RESULT: Subscribers are growing steadily, and Nora's
proactive approach to Public Relations has garnered attention and praise
from the main Marketing team at Stanford Hospital & Clinics. |
