CITY of WEST LINN
Communications Director Kirsten Wyatt and IT Manager
Steve Arndt were charged with launching a new website for the City of
West Linn. Upon issuing the RFP, they were deluged by a variety of
CMS providers from across the country. Nearly all of them came in
with a preset solution based upon their own product offering with little
understanding of the client's actual needs.
Teaming with web development partner aHa! Consulting, our proposal made allowances for a thorough needs assessment and
discovery process before making any recommendations on the job.
Steve and Kirsten appreciated our approach, and we were awarded the
highly-visible contract.
Through a series of interviews with various City
entities, it was decided that the new site would utilize Drupal Open
Source CMS technology to ensure optimum flexibility and user-friendly
management tools at the most cost-effective price point.

Because alcheme and aHa! offered both branding AND
technology expertise, the City decided to use the website development
activities to kick off an entire brand refresh. Through interviews
and surveys, alcheme walked key decision-makers through a logo redesign
process. We're finalizing new stationary and a wide range of other
collateral assets, in addition helping Kirsten build more streamlined
and cost-conscious print processes.

"+alcheme = geniuses."
